Description

This course is Air (IATA) & Ocean (IMDG) Training for Freight Forwarders. It focuses on Dangerous Goods Acceptance and Transport from a transportation intermediary standpoint. It does not cover classification, inner packaging selection, radioactive materials, or bulk packaging in detail.

If a shipment is prepared according to international regulations and meets a few additional requirements, it may also move by highway or rail before or after air or ocean transport. The program covers U.S.-specific requirements by reviewing U.S. Variations, placarding, and segregation. This training meets the function-specific training requirements of the U.S. DOT. If a forwarder is shipping by highway only, additional 49 CFR training is also required.
