Who should take this course? Companies making shipments of Magnetized Materials by air. This course may be taken by those needing Initial or Recurrent training.
This training is based on the commercial airline rules in IATA and the ICAO regulations and Packing Instruction 953. The course will train you to package and complete the required documentation for Magnetized Materials using IATA/ICAO. Magnetized Materials under DOT rules are either totally forbidden (173.21) or not regulated.

Current editions of the IATA regulations are recommended but not required. Students must provide their own copies, as they are not included with the course. Copies are available from our recommended suppliers.

Time Required:
- Estimated completion time: 1-2 hours.

- Function Specific Training - If you ship anything other than magnetized materials you will need additional training. Ultimately (in the United States) your employer has final responsibility for determining if a hazmat employee is properly trained for their particular job function. Since there is a potential for limitless types of job functions as determined by an individual employer, we as your training provider can only suggest what types of additional training might be required.
