49CFR IMDG Recurrent Syllabus

The 2-Day 49CFR/IMDG Recurrent course is for Shippers who prepare dangerous goods shipments for ground and ocean transit using the 49CFR and IMDG regulations, and who have had 49CFR and IMDG training within the previous 3 years. Topics covered include a review of the 3-Day initial classes for 49CFR and IMDG, with an emphasis on updates and changes.

Note if you ship Explosives, Radioactive Materials and/or Lithium Batteries:

• • Explosives: This course fulfills the requirements for anyone shipping explosives, div. 1.4 already classified with a UN#. Other class 1 explosives including 1.4 unclassified, additional training is required. Please see our explosives course.
  • Radioactive Materials: This course also fulfills the requirements for shipping radioactive exempted items, for example smoke alarms. For anything else additional training is required. Please see our radioactive courses.
  • Lithium Batteries: If you ship excepted or fully regulated lithium batteries an additional course is recommended to navigate the complex rules associated with shipping lithium batteries. Please see our lithium battery courses.

Please Note: Security Awareness Training is no longer conducted in classroom or webinar course. We provide access to FREE SAT our website.

Prerequisite for 49CFR / IMDG Recurrent training is previous certification for 49CFR and IMDG within the past 3 years.
