IMDG Recurrent Syllabus

The 1-Day course is designed for freight forwarders, third party logistics entities, carriers and freight brokers preparing dangerous goods shipments for ocean transport that have had previous IMDG training within the past 3 years. The course is a review of topics covered in the 2-Day initial class with an emphasis on updates and changes with the current edition of the IMDG Code. Recurrent training is required every three years for IMDG.

Please Note: Security Awareness Training is no longer conducted in the classroom. We are now offering it for FREE on our website.

Prerequisite for Recurrent training is IMDG Certification within the past 3 years.

IMDG Lesson 3 - Utilized the DG list, Locate and apply Special Provisions
IMDG Lesson 4 - General Packing Requirements, UN Specification Packaging, Packing Instructions

Review IMDG Lessons 5-8:

IMDG Lesson 5 - Marking, Labeling, Placarding, Documentation
IMDG Lesson 6 - Stowage, Segregation, Special Requirements, Cargo Transport Units, Competent Authority
IMDG Lesson 7 - Limited Quantities, Excepted Quantities
IMDG Lesson 8 - Apply appropriate 49CFR conditions and limitations
