49CFR IATA IMDG Initial Syllabus

The 5-Day 459CFR/IATA/IMDG Initial course is designed for basic shippers, freight forwarders, third party logistics entities, carriers and freight brokers who prepare shipments for ground, air and ocean transport.

Please Note: Security Awareness Training is no longer conducted in classroom or webinar course. We provide access to FREE SAT our website.

Note if you ship Explosives, Radioactive Materials and/or Lithium Batteries addtional training is recommended:

- Explosives: This course fulfills the requirements for anyone shipping explosives, div. 1.4 already classified with a UN#. Other class 1 explosives including 1.4 unclassified, additional training is required. Please see our explosives course.
- Radioactive Materials: This course also fulfills the requirements for shipping radioactive exempted items, for example smoke alarms. For anything else additional training is required. Please see our radioactive courses.
- Lithium Batteries: If you ship excepted or fully regulated lithium batteries an additional course is recommended to navigate the complex rules associated with shipping lithium batteries. Please see our lithium battery courses.
