Who should take this course? This seminar is intended for Shippers, Forwarders and Carriers who handle and ship Explosive Material (including Division 1.4 and 1.4S unclassified) in the normal course of transportation.

Exception: If you ship Division 1.4 or 1.4S  (already classified with a UN#) and are currently (IATA, 49CFR, IMDG) certified, this additional training is not required.

DGI's 2-Day Explosives seminar will enable you to transport both domestic and international with ease.

Prerequisites: Previous hazmat training recommended but not required.

Required Materials

  • Student Workbook - Students download workbook to view and print prior to class. We suggest putting it in a three ring binder for ease of use. If you do not print the workbook, you must be able to view the workbook at the same time as the webinar.
  • Regulations - Current edition of the 49CFR is required for this session. If you need a current copy, we suggest purchasing one from our recommended suppliers
  • Exam - An online exam concludes the course. Follow instructions in your confirmation email. Your instructor will provide additional details regarding the quiz. 
  • Recommended Supplies - Sticky notes, pens, a highlighter, and note paper.

  • Complete your training from your desk or any convenient location with an internet connection.
  • We recommend taking the webinar from a location where you will not be distracted by coworkers or daily work duties.

Course Duration

Time Required:

  • Public webinars are conducted from 11am – 7pm Eastern Standard Time (includes testing). 
  • Sign-in begins 15 minutes prior to class start time.
  • There will be a lunch break for approximately 30 minutes. 
  • Class times are EST, please adjust according to your time zone.

  • Function Specific Training - Ultimately (in the United States) your employer has final responsibility for determining if a hazmat employee is properly trained for their particular job function. Since there is a potential for limitless types of job functions as determined by an individual employer, we as your training provider can only suggest what types of additional training might be required.
