49CFR-IATA - Ground-Air Shipping
49CFR and IATA Training is required for shippers who prepare dangerous goods shipments for highway and air transit. DGI's 49CFR/IATA combination class is a great way to get certified for ground and air transport at one time.
49CFR/IATA Training is required for any hazmat employee who needs to understand how to use the 49CFR and IATA DGR. This includes: Shipping personnel who prepare and sign the shipping papers for transport, Personnel responsible for classifying hazardous product, Anyone else who meets the definition of a "hazmat employee" and who needs to understand how to read and interpret the 49CFR and IATA DGR.
Initial Training is required within 90 days of hire or a change in job function(s).
Recurrent Training is required every 3 years for 49 CFR and every 24 months for IATA
DGI's 49CFR/IATA training Fulfills US DOT and International Law Training Requirements.
Please note if you ship Lithium Batteries, Radioactive Materials or Explosives additional training is recommended.
